On this tour we will discover the Creative City chosen by Unesco, famous for its crockery associated with one of the biggest names in art nouveau in our country. But before that, the Caldas da Rainha were put on the map by Queen Leonor when she ordered the construction of the first thermal hospital in the world, thus giving the city its name.
Our tour will take us to the magnificent Parque D. Carlos I, in the city centre, where we will discover a romantic garden with an artificial lake and tree-lined avenues. Considered one of the richest parks in biodiversity in the country. Inside the Park, you can visit the José Malhoa Museum and the Pavilions, iconic pieces of the city's architecture.
Another must-see is the Ceramics Museum, housed in a 19th-century romantic palace, where we can find a set of works by Rafael Bordalo Pinheiro. We also find, scattered throughout the city, sculptural works on a human scale, taken from the artist's vast imagination that surprise passersby, in what is a true Bordalian Route.
Our tour will continue through Praça da República, also known as Praça da Fruta, where the daily open-air market is located. It is a showcase of the region's rich agricultural and gastronomic production and a privileged place to observe Art Nouveau in the romantic tiled facades of the buildings that surround this square and, which also house the historic Café Central, where we will enter to eat the famous cavacas.

Explore the former Queen's Pool and the Great Hall of the world's first Thermal Hospital.
In Praça da República we will find the only street market that is open every day of the year in Portugal.
Visit the biggest fountain in the city and Jardim de Água – one of the greatest works of urban ceramics in Portugal made by the great master Ferreira da Silva do Porto.
The next stop is the beautiful pavilions of the park and the José Malhoa Museum.
Walk through the streets full of human-scale ceramic pieces made by the great Portuguese master Rafael Bordalo Pinheiro.
To finish the tour we stop at Café Central to taste Cavacas das Caldas and Ginjinha while we see the famous painting from the 50s by Júlio Pomar – The Unicorn.
